The automotive fan coupler is a critical component of the engine cooling system. It automatically adjusts fan speed by leveraging the thermal expansion and contraction properties of silicone oil, achieving efficient heat dissipation while reducing energy consumption.

Working Principle

Silicone Oil Medium: Internally filled with silicone oil, whose viscosity increases with rising temperature. When the engine is cold, the low viscosity of the silicone oil allows the fan to idle. As the engine warms up, the increased viscosity drives the fan to rotate at high speed.

Bimetallic Thermostat: Some models utilize a bimetallic strip to sense temperature changes, controlling valve plate opening/closing to regulate silicone oil flow.
